Novak: Russian energy min ready to restart dialogue with US

MOSCOW, Feb 6 (PRIME) -- Energy Minister Alexander Novak told U.S. Ambassador John Sullivan on Thursday that Russia is ready to resume dialogue, although the sanctions are unfair competition preventing cooperation, the ministry said in a statement after the meeting.

“The Russian Energy Ministry is ready to resume energy dialogue with the U.S. side, including in such potential cooperation spheres as environment protection, oil and gas market analysis, and cooperation on the international trading floors, including G20, in case of a constructive approach of our partners,” the ministry said,

The officials discussed bilateral energy cooperation.

“We welcome cooperation at the corporate level: work of our companies demonstrates interest in extension of cooperation and discovery of our investment potential,” Novak said, as cited in the statement.
